Arielle Jacobs will return with Between the Lines Off-Broadway

The new musical is based on the novel by Jodi Picoult and Samantha van Leer and features a score by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson.

It’s been two and a half years since Between the lines first announced its Off-Broadway premiere, but several cast members originally announced for Spring 2020 will take to the stage when the new musical begins performances June 14 at the Tony Kiser Theater.

Arielle Jacobs is reprising the lead role of Delilah in the musical adaptation of Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer’s YA novel of the same name. Also remain with production Jake David Smith (Frozen), Vicky Lewis (Shit Yankees, Anastasia), Will Burton (Kiss me, Kate; Hello Dolly!), Jerusha Cavazos (Prom), Pierre Marais (Aladdin), John Rapson (Wretched) and Julia Murney (Bad). Additional casting is yet to come.

In Between the lines, Delilah is a stranger in a new school who seeks solace in the pages of her favorite book, where she feels heard and understood. But the lines between reality and fantasy soon begin to blur with her friendship with the novel’s handsome Prince Oliver.
