British singer-songwriter Jessie Ware has shared a new music video for her song “Remember Where You Are” from her album What is your pleasure? since last July. The video stars British actress Gemma Arterton and was directed by BAFTA-winning director Dominic Savage.
The video “Remember Where You Are”, described as a “short film” by the British singer, was shot in the empty and locked London street. Although the streets look desolate without the usual bustling London crowds, Arterton is shown finding the sites she loves and smiling wistfully as she watches a stunning sunrise from Primrose Hill in Regent’s Park. The clip is a message of hope during the UK’s third national lockdown.

On the video, director Savage writes that he was “inspired by the real feeling that was felt when we filmed the deserted streets of a strange lockdown in London on a Saturday night / Sunday morning. The feelings and emotions. of the movie faithfully reflect what it looked like and what this time conjures up. Sadness, longing, pain and challenge. But when we climbed Primrose Hill and the sun started to rise over the city, there was had real hope and joy for a future that will surely be ours. Listening to Jessie’s music. There is no doubt about it. “
Likewise, Ware also shared, “To make my song come true with a beautiful ode to London and the desire for human touch and interaction couldn’t be more of a compliment. It is truly precious work. Viewers of the video will see this “ode to London” as a message of hope and light during the pandemic, and I hope the streets of London will soon be bustling and crowded. Ware has also shared videos for ” Save A Kiss “,” What’s Your Pleasure? “And” Spotlight “, all tracks on the album.
