Kadokawa revealed a new trailer, visual, cast, staff and November premiere for the second season of the Kan Glue anime during its AnimeJapan 2022 panel for anime on Saturday. The anime is titled KanColle: Itsuka Ano Umi from (Kan Glue: A day in this sea) (ANN will update this article with the trailer once it’s available online.)
Kadokawa revealed that the anime will only have eight episodes (as opposed to the usual Classes television anime lasting 11–13 episodes), as the production specifically wanted to improve the quality by telling a more compact story with fewer episodes.
The cast of the anime includes Saki Fujita, Yumi Tanabe, Aya Suzuki, Yui Horie, Iori Nomizu, Yui Ogura, Risa TanedaKozue Hayasaka, Wakana Miyawaka, Mana Komatsu, Ayana Taketatsu, Yuki Yamadaand Nao Toyama.
Kazuya Miura (DRAMATIC MURDER, Full dive, Uzaki-chan wants out!) directs the anime to ENGI. Kensuke Tanakathe original author of franchisewrote the scripts for the anime. Chika Nomi draw the characters. Kaori Ohkoshi compose the music, while Yuichi Imaizumi is the sound director.
Editor Kadokawa reported in its financial results report in November 2019 that the “second season” of the Kan Glue the television anime was still in production. Kadokawa told C2 Kikan in January 2021 that the second season would air in 2022.
The anime is based on a web browser game launched in 2013 and takes place in a world where mankind has lost control of the seas. The threat that has gripped the seas is the Abyssal Fleet. The only ones who can counter this threat are the Kan-Musu (Fleet Girls), girls who possess the spirit of the warships of yesteryear.
The first 12-episode TV anime series premiered in January 2015 and Crunchyroll aired the series as it aired in Japan. Funimation released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc with English subtitles and an English double in June 2017.
The final episode of the first television anime series revealed in March 2015 that the television anime would have a sequel. The anime’s official Twitter account indicated in August 2015 that the franchiseThe film project and the sequel were separate projects that went into production at the same time.
